Tile, Carpet, Upholstery, Rug, Mattress, and Hardwood Floor Cleaning Service Agreement
This Agreement is between Steam&Sparkle (“Company”) and the customer named on the booking or quote (“Customer”). By signing, approving the quote, or completing an online booking, Customer agrees to these terms.
1. Services. Company will perform the services listed on the booking or approved quote at the address shown or, for items picked up, at Company’s facility. Any service not listed is not included. Added work requested on site will be priced and approved by Customer before it begins. A minimum charge of $125 applies to all visits.
2. Price and payment. The price is shown on the booking or quote and may be adjusted on site if room sizes, item counts, or item types differ from what was booked; Company will confirm any change before starting. After reviewing Customer’s photos, Company sends a written quote with a secure link to pay a deposit of $50, which confirms the appointment and is credited against the final price. The balance is due when the work is completed, or at delivery for items cleaned off-site, and is paid through a secure payment link Company sends at that time. For off-site rug cleaning, a deposit of 50% is due at pickup. Invoices unpaid after 30 days may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is less. Returned payments incur a $35 fee.
3. Scheduling and arrival. Company provides an arrival window rather than an exact time and will notify Customer if arrival will be later than the window. An adult (18 or older) must be present to provide access, or Customer must arrange access in advance.
4. Customer responsibilities. Before the appointment, Customer will: remove small items, breakables, electronics, and valuables from work areas; remove bedding from mattresses; keep pets and children away from work areas; provide parking near the entrance; and provide access to water, electricity, and a sanitary drain for disposal of waste water. Customer will tell Company about known stains and their cause, pet accidents, prior cleaning or treatments, and any items of special value.
5. Furniture. Company may move light furniture such as chairs, side tables, and small sofas. Company will not move beds, dressers, pianos, entertainment centers, electronics, china cabinets, or items too heavy or fragile to move safely. Areas under unmoved furniture will not be cleaned. Company will place protective pads or tabs under furniture legs; Customer should leave them in place for 24 hours.
6. Drying and safety. Cleaned items remain damp for several hours; drying time depends on humidity, temperature, and airflow and is not guaranteed. Damp carpet and the hard floors next to it can be slippery. Customer is responsible for keeping people and pets off wet areas and for using care while walking. Mattresses and furniture should not be used until dry.
7. Fabrics and materials. Company will test materials before cleaning where appropriate. Some materials, including items labeled “S” or “X,” silk, rayon, viscose, vintage, antique, or hand-dyed fabrics and rugs, may shrink, bleed, fade, brown, lose texture, or otherwise change when cleaned. Company may decline to clean any item. If Company advises Customer of a risk and Customer asks Company to proceed, Customer accepts that risk. Wood floors may have existing finish wear, gapping, cupping, or prior coatings that respond unpredictably to cleaning, and grout may be cracked, missing, or previously sealed in a way that limits the result.
8. Pre-existing conditions and results. Company is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, including worn traffic areas, sun fading, loose seams, delamination, carpet ripples, color loss, broken backing, weak fibers, or prior damage. Some stains and odors, including pet urine, dyes, bleach, rust, and ink, may be permanent. Stains may reappear as they wick up from padding or deeper layers. Complete removal of any stain or odor is not guaranteed. Company may photograph items before and after cleaning for its records.
9. Items cleaned off-site. Company will issue a receipt describing each item and its condition at pickup. Customer states the value of any item worth more than $500 at pickup. Company’s liability for items in its care is limited to the lesser of the stated value or the cost of repair or replacement. Customer must accept delivery or pick up items within 30 days of notice that they are ready. After that, storage fees of $5 per day may apply, and items not claimed within 90 days may be handled as abandoned property as allowed by state law.
10. Cancellation and access. Customer may cancel or reschedule without charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Later cancellations may incur a fee of $50. If Company arrives and cannot perform the work because no one is home, there is no parking or water access, or similar issues, a trip fee of $75 may apply.
11. Satisfaction and claims. If a treated spot reappears or Customer is not satisfied with the results, Customer must notify Company within 7 days, with photos. Company will return to re-treat the area at no charge. Any claim of damage must be reported within 72 hours of completion or delivery, and Company must be allowed to inspect before any repair or replacement. Company carries general liability insurance.
12. Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, Company’s liability for any claim related to the services is limited to the amount paid under this Agreement, except for damage caused by Company’s negligence or willful misconduct, and except as stated in Section 9 for items in Company’s care.
13. Photos. Company may use photos of cleaned items, without Customer’s name or address, in its marketing. Customer may opt out by notifying Company in writing.
14. Recurring service (if selected). If Customer selects a recurring plan, service will repeat at the frequency shown until either party cancels with 30 days’ written notice. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice.
15. General. This Agreement and the booking or approved quote are the entire agreement between the parties. It is governed by the laws of the State of Texas. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
